Setup guides for every device

One Degarmo Media account gets you into everything. Pick your app below for step-by-step sign-in and setup — most take under two minutes.

Getting started

Read this first
1You have ONE account for everything

Your Degarmo Media login (Google, Microsoft, or email) works across every app here. On the website, just click the red “Sign in with Degarmo Media” button.

On phone/TV apps, some services can’t show that button, so each guide below has the exact steps for that app. When in doubt, the browser always works.

2Don’t have access yet?

Head to degarmomedia.com and tap Request Access. Once you’re approved you’ll get a welcome email with this guide, and you can sign in everywhere.

Movies & TV — Jellyfin

Server: watch.degarmomedia.com
On a phone or tablet (Quick Connect)

The app can’t use the SSO button directly, so you’ll use Quick Connect — it links the app to your normal login in about 30 seconds. You only do this once per device.

  1. Install Jellyfin from the App Store / Google Play and open it.
  2. When it asks for a server, enter https://watch.degarmomedia.com.
  3. On the sign-in screen, tap Use Quick Connect. It shows a 6-digit code — leave it up.
  4. In a web browser, go to watch.degarmomedia.com and tap Sign in with Degarmo Media. Log in as normal.
  5. Once in, tap your profile picture (top-right) → Quick Connect.
  6. Type the 6-digit codeAuthorize. Done — the app logs in and stays signed in.
No app password to remember. New phone or signed out? Just repeat these steps.
On a computer / web browser

Go to watch.degarmomedia.com, click the red Sign in with Degarmo Media button, and log in. That’s it.

On a TV (Fire Stick, Android TV, Apple TV, Roku)

Install the Jellyfin app from your TV’s store, add the server https://watch.degarmomedia.com, and use Quick Connect exactly like the phone steps above — enter the code at watch.degarmomedia.com from your phone or computer.

Roku’s Jellyfin app is community-built; if it’s missing, use the TV’s browser or cast from your phone.

Movies & TV — Plex (alternate)

Prefer Plex? It uses its own account
Getting added to Plex

Plex works a little differently — it doesn’t use the Degarmo Media sign-in. Instead the library is shared to your personal Plex account.

  1. Make a free account at plex.tv (or use one you already have) and tell the admin the email on it.
  2. You’ll get an invite — accept it, and “Degarmo Media” shows up under your Plex servers.
  3. Install Plex on any device, sign into your Plex account, and start watching.
Jellyfin is the primary player and needs no separate account — Plex is just here if you prefer it.

Music — Navidrome

Web: music.degarmomedia.com
Listen in your browser

Go to music.degarmomedia.com and sign in with your Degarmo Media account. Full library, playlists, and search right in the browser.

On a phone (music apps)

The music server speaks the Subsonic standard, so you can use a great native app instead of the browser:

  • iPhone: Amperfy, play:Sub, or substreamer (free on the App Store)
  • Android: Symfonium (paid, best-in-class), Tempo, or Ultrasonic (free)

In the app, add a server with:

  • Server / URL: https://music.degarmomedia.com
  • Your Degarmo Media username & music password
Music apps need a username/password (they can’t use the web sign-in). If you don’t have a music password yet, ask the admin and one will be set for you.

Books & Comics — Kavita

Web: books.degarmomedia.com
Read in your browser

Go to books.degarmomedia.com and sign in with your Degarmo Media account. Kavita reads great on phones, tablets, and computers right in the browser — no app needed. Add it to your home screen for a one-tap shortcut.

Reading offline / on e-readers

Open any book and use the download option to save the EPUB/CBZ, then side-load it to your e-reader or reading app of choice.

Cloud & Photos — Nextcloud

Web: cloud.degarmomedia.com
Sign in on the phone app
  1. Install Nextcloud from the App Store / Google Play and open it.
  2. Tap Log in, and for the server enter https://cloud.degarmomedia.com.
  3. On the login page tap Login with Degarmo Media, sign in as usual, then Grant access.
Back up your photos automatically

In the app: menu → Settings → Auto upload. Turn on your Camera folder and enable “Include existing” so your whole camera roll uploads, not just new photos. Add Downloads and Documents the same way to back those up too.

Great before switching or resetting a phone — confirm your files show at cloud.degarmomedia.com before you wipe it.

Requesting titles

Can’t find something? Ask for it
Request a movie or show

Go to requests.degarmomedia.com, sign in, search for the title, and hit Request. You’ll get a notification when it’s added — usually pretty quick.

Request music or books

Use requestmusic.degarmomedia.com for albums/artists and requestbooks.degarmomedia.com for books & comics. Same idea — search and request.

Bring your own music over

From Spotify, Apple Music, your phone & more
Import your Spotify playlists

On requestmusic.degarmomedia.com, use Connect Spotify to pull in your playlists. We’ll match each song to the library and automatically request anything that’s missing, so your playlists come to life on Degarmo Media.

Apple Music & Amazon Music Coming soon

Apple Music and Amazon Music playlist import are on the way. In the meantime, you can export a playlist from those apps and send the list to the admin, or paste the songs into the music request page.

Upload music from your own device

Got your own MP3/FLAC files? Upload them to your Cloud (cloud.degarmomedia.com) — they’re private to you and available on every device. If you’d like your personal collection added to the shared music library, drop the files in your Cloud and let the admin know.
